Most solves in rotating puzzle cube competitions in a single year

In 2012 Sébastien Auroux (Germany) solved 2,033 of 2,122 puzzle cube in World Cube Association competitions. That's equivalent to more than 5.5 solves every day and the figure doesn't include any cubes solved outside of official events.
