The UCI Cycle Ball World Cup is an annual competition inaugurated in 2002 that involves teams of two playing eight separate rounds with the best teams qualifying for the final. To date clubs representing Germany have won five World Cups: in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 – the most of any nation.
Cycle Ball or "Radball" as it is known locally is particularly popular in Germany and neighbouring Austria and Switzerland. However the most recent UCI has had participants from as far afield as Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan amongst others.
