The rodent with least teeth is Shaw Mayer's shrew mouse Pseudohydromys ellermani. Also known as the small-toothed moss-mouse, and native to Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, it only possesses eight teeth in total – four incisors, and four molars, with no canines or premolars.
