The first person to row across two different oceans in one year is Livar Nysted (Denmark), who rowed the Atlantic east to west in team of eight from Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria to Barbados aboard "Avalon" between 17 January and 22 February 2013 and then the Indian ocean east to west in team of three from Geraldton, Australia, to Mauritius aboard "tRIO" between 9 June and 5 August 2013.
