Two US Presidents have visited a total of 74 unique nations during their time in office. The first was Bill Clinton (USA), whose trips began on 3–4 April 1993 in Vancouver, Canada. He had a summit meeting with President Yeltsin (Russia) and a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. His final trip was to the UK on 12–14 December 2000. He met with Prime Minister Tony Blair and Northern Irish political leaders in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Clinton then went on to London to meet Queen Elizabeth II and the University of Warwick where he made a speech. In total, he made 133 trips.

The second was 43rd President, George W Bush (USA). Bush's visits to 74 unique nations took place across 140 trips in total during his two terms. The first trip, on 16 February 2001, was to San Cristobal in Mexico, where he met with with President Fox. The final trip was from 14–15 December 2008 to Kabul in Afghanistan for a meeting with President Karzai and a visit to US military personnel.
