Most expensive item in DotA 2 (in-game)

As of 25 June 2013 the most expensive item that can be bought during a game of DotA 2 is the fully upgraded "Dagon". The Dagon is a wand capable of dealing a massive burst of damage to an enemy. The first level will only set you back 2,730 "gold" (the in-game currency) but you can repurchase the recipe up to four times to upgrade, meaning that a fully embellished Dagon comes with a price tag of 7,730 gold.
