The five episodes that make up the first season of The Walking Dead (Telltale Games, 2012) have amassed total sales of 17 million – more than any other episodic game release.
The series, released on multiple formats between April and November 2012, also scored huge critical success, picking up more than 90 "Game of the Year" awards. This haul of honours includes two BAFTA Games Awards in 2013 for Best Story and Best Mobile Game.
The game was separated into five episodes released in two-month intervals.
