First official music video in Simlish

While a number of artists contributed vocals to The Sims 2: Seasons soundtrack, Lily Allen's Simlish rendition of her hit single "Smile" was the first honoured with an official video crafted by EA. It was released in March 2007. Simlish is the fictional language featured in EA Games' Sim series.

Allen re-recorded the single in Simlish, and this version was used in the Sims expansion pack The Sims 2: Seasons soundtrack. Allen also features as a character within the game.

She said "getting to sing it again [in Simlish] came very naturally and it was hilarious to practice! The silly language and whimsy of The Sims games are a perfect fit for the song. I was laughing the entire time!"
