The golf ball-sized apple measures just 42 mm (1.6 in) in diameter. The world's smallest apple was discovered by David Cranwell in an orchard in New Zealand.

From 10 June 2013 M&S will be selling a pack of six apples for £1.49, and two of the apples will make up one of your five a day.
