The first game launched for Android phones was Pac-Man (Namco Bandai, 2008), released on 23 September 2008. The game retailed for $9.99 (£5.43) but was offered free to owners of flagship Android handset the T-Mobile G1. Players were able to control the little yellow pill popper by swiping the phone's touch screen, tilting the handset or using the trackball.
