Released in August 2003, The Elder Scrolls Travels: Stormhold was developed for the Nokia N-Gage and other Java-based handsets (rather than for PC or consoles, as previously). It requires players to escape from Stormhold prison by trading items and battling enemies in randomly generated dungeons. Two sequels – Dawnstar and Shadowkey – followed, and in 2006 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was also adapted for mobile phones and released as part of the Travels series.
