Electronic Arts announced on 8 May 2013 that it was extending the licensing agreement it has with FIFA until 31 December 2022. The agreement began in 1993, and by the time it expires it will have run for 30 years. Electronic Arts was the first publisher to be granted a licensing agreement from FIFA. FIFA International Soccer made its debut in 1993 and it has been running ever since.
