The largest land animal skull ever found measures 3.2 m in height (10 ft 6 in) and belongs to the skeleton of a Pentaceratops dinosaur. It is currently on display at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, USA. This skull specimen is a composite, i.e. a skull made by combining parts of different skulls to yield a single complete one. However, as it appears to be an accurate reconstruction, it is likely that there were indeed specimens in life with skulls as large as this. Also, many dinosaur species are only known from incomplete remains, with their total sizes therefore being informed estimates rather than confirmed measurements.
