The most expensive commercially available game package was the GRID 2: Mono Edition (Codemasters), which retailed through GAME in May 2013 for £125,000 ($190,100). In addition to a copy of the game, the racing bundle contained a PS3 console, branded racing wear (helmet, suit, boots and gloves) and a street-legal BAC Mono supercar. The package was snapped up by the Canadian DJ and record producer deadmau5. Upon buying it, the musician Tweeted: "Just bought a copy of Grid2 – Mono edition... I think I have a Guinness World Record on my hands here. neat-o!"

The most valuable videogame package – one that is commercially available but hasn't yet sold – is the Dying Light: The Following "Spotlight Edition", priced at $10 million (£6,932,192). As of 12 July 2017, it remained unsold.
