The “Big-O” is the world’s first centreless Ferris wheel, 60 m (196 ft) in diameter, situated in the LaQua amusement park in Tokyo, Japan. The 80-m-tall “Thunder Dolphin” (262-ft) hyper-rollercoaster passes through the centre of the “Big-O” at a maximum speed of 130 km/h (80.7 mph). The LaQua amusement park opened in May 2003.
