As of 25 February 2013, 26 former England cricketers had been inducted into the ICC’s (International Cricket Council’s) Cricket Hall of Fame. In 2012–13, along with Glenn McGrath (Australia) and Brian Lara (West Indies) and an as-yet-unannounced fourth inductee, Nottinghamshire-born all-rounder Enid Bakewell, now aged 72, became England’s 26th inductee. Bakewell played 12 Test matches and 23 One-Day Internationals for England between 1968 and 1982 and became only the third female Hall of Famer after Rachael Heyhoe-Flint (England, inducted 2010) and Belinda Clark (Australia, inducted 2011). 55 players were initially inducted in January 2009, with five additional inductee in 2009 and four each in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The fourth 2012 inductee (and 72nd in total) will be announced later in 2013. In addition to England’s 26 representatives, the Cricket Hall of Fame also features players from Australia (18), West Indies (17), Pakistan (4), India (3), South Africa (2) and New Zealand (1).
