The McCullum brothers, bowler Nathan and captain/wicket-keeper Brendon, had a hand in four of the run-outs as New Zealand wrapped up the three-match ODI series with a 27-run victory.
South Africa were 252 all out in reply to New Zealand’s 279 for 8. New Zealand went 2-0 up in the three-match ODI series.
All 10 matches took place from 1975 onwards, with five since 2000. South Africa became the eighth different international team to suffer five run-outs in an innings. It’s happened to Australia on three occasions (1975, 1996 and 2006).
