Justin Bieber’s (Canada) YouTube channel, JustinBieberVEVO, attracted its three-billionth video view on 22 October 2012. As of 22 February 2013, the pop prince’s channel had registered an incredible 3,447,162,714 video views.

Universal Music Group’s (USA) YouTube channel was the most popular channel on the video-sharing website with a staggering 5,895,395,547 video views as of 5 February 2013. This figure had plummeted to 2,576,179,367 as of 21 February 2013 due to the turnover of music videos on the channel, leaving videogames channel Machinima as the most viewed channel with 4,040,137,145 views as of the same date. Universal is home to artists such as Bieber, Rihanna (the most subscribers to a YouTube channel (solo female musician), Eminem and Lady Gaga.
