On 7 April 1922, a de Havilland DH 18A (registration G-EAWO) of the Daimler Hire Ltd collided with a Farman F60 Goliath (registration F-GEAD) over the Thieulloy-St Antoine road near Picardie, France. All seven crew and passengers on both aircraft were killed. Both pilots were using the road as an aid to navigation in bad weather and poor visibility.
