The longest kidney transplant chain is 35, and was achieved by the National Kidney Registry (USA), as verified between 6 January and 17 June 2015.
"Chain 357" began with a donor at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, who wanted to donate a kidney to a stranger, and ended at UW Health Transplant Program in Wisconsin. The final recipient was a standard voucher patient whose donor donated in advance on August 5th 2014.
