Oldest average (median) population

The people of Monaco have the highest median average age of any nation on Earth. With an average age of 49.9 years (48.9 years for men; 51 years for women) the people of Monaco as a whole are 34.8 years older than the "youngest" nation on Earth (Uganda). The median age is arrived at by drawing a dividing line between two numerically equal groups so that half the population are younger than this age and the other half are older.
