Calvin Johnson is the first player in NFL history with at least 1,600 receiving yards in consecutive seasons while playing for the Detroit Lions in 2011 and 2012. Johnson scored 1,681 yards in 2011 and came agonisingly close to breaking the 2,000 yard mark in 2012 when he finished with 1,964 yards shattering Jerry Rice's old mark of 1,848, set in 1995.
