The TIV MPI Resolution was built at the Shanhaiguan shipyard, Qinhuangdao, China, and delivered to Falmouth, UK in February 2004. She measures 130.5 m long and 38 m wide and can operate in water from 5 to 35 m deep. She has six legs, which can be deployed underwater allowing the ship to jack itself up out of the water in order to become a stable platform for constructing offshore wind farms.
