Most innovative city

The Australian 2thinknow group publishes an index of "most innovative cities" every year, measuring such key elements as their cultural assets, human infrastructure and the extent of their networked markets. Its 2011 report had Boston in first place, and then Paris and Amsterdam in second and third. There are also measures for "creative" and "healthy" cities, as well as actual league tables for "smart" or "liveable" cities – all with different winners. "Smart" city tabulators rate Vienna at the top; and Vancouver is judged by The Economist Intelligent Unit to be the most "liveable" city.
