The Football Manager videogame series is so beloved in the UK that even the Queen saw fit to recognize it. She awarded Paul and Oliver Collyer (UK), the creators of Championship Manager (Intelek, 1992), the Member of the British Empire (MBE) honour in 2010. Football Manager was known as Championship Manager until 2003, when SEGA took over as publishers. Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive, was also awarded the OBE in 2011.
