He has won the Lumberjack World Championships male title, Tony Wise All-Around Champion, for a record 15 times – consecutively from 1999 to 2013. Unsurprisingly, Jason holds records in individual events too: Fastest Standing Chop: 18.33 sec in 1998; Fastest Underhand Chop: 15.94 sec in 2006 and Fastest Double Buck (with Dion Lane): 4.77 sec in 2005. The World Championships are held annually in Hayward, Wisconsin, USA, and this year's were held on 25–27 July.
The Tony Wise All-Around Champion consists of the following nine events: Standing chop, Single buck, Hot saw, Springboard chop, Underhand chop, 60-foot speed climb, 90-foot speed climb, Logrolling (birling) and Boom run.
Male lumberjackers are known as lumberjacks, and females as lumberjills.
