Fastest swim 50 m freestyle - S10 (male)

Brazilian 50 metres freestyle swimmer Andre Brasil set a new world and Paralympic S10 record at the Aquatics Centre in London, UK, on 31 August 2012, coming home in 23.16 seconds. Brasil competes in a classification for swimmers with a physical impairment. No less than six new records were set in the 50 metres freestyle final (S10) at London 2012: world, Paralympic and Americas records from gold medallist Brasil and new Oceania, European and Asian records from the swimmers who finished third, fifth and seventh. Additionally, a new African record was set by South Africa's Kevin Paul in the heats.
