Heaviest Paralympic powerlift (-90 kg, male)

South Korea's Jong Chul Park had home advantage when he lifted 250 kg in Busan, South Korea, on 30 October 2002 to achieve the heaviest powerlift in the history of the men's -90 kg division. Competitors are classified by bodyweight alone in Paralympic powerlifting, so athletes with different impairments compete for the same medals. Hany Abdelhady (Egypt) won gold at the Paralympic Games in London, UK, on 4 September 2012, setting a new Paralympic -90 kg record of 241 kg.
