Farthest long jump (F37/F38, male)

Gocha Khugaev (Russia) won a gold medal in the men's long jump in the F37/F38 class (for athletes with cerebral palsy) with a jump of 6.31 metres at the Paralympic Games in London, UK, on 5 September 2012. Khugaev competes in the F37 classification. In the F38 class, Dyan Buis (South Africa) holds the record for the longest jump with 6.48 metres. Buis has twice achieved this distance, first in Leverkusen, Germany, on 13 July 2012 and then at the Paralympic Games in London, UK, on 5 September 2012, where he won a bronze medal (competing in the same event as Khugaev) after the results were adjusted to take into account the level of disability.
