Michael McKillop (Ireland) is the fastest man over 1,500 metres in the T37 classification (for athletes with cerebral palsy). On 8 May 2012, he posted a time of 3 min 59.54 sec in London, UK. McKillop added the Paralympic record to his list of achievements when he won the final in 4 min 08.11 sec at the Games in London, UK, on 3 September 2012. McKillop also won the men's 800 metres (T37) final at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, setting a new world record in the process.
