The fastest run 200 m by a female para athlete in the T12 category is 23.02 seconds, achieved by Omara Durand (Cuba) at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, on 4 September 2021.

Durand won gold over 100 m, 200m and 400 m in the T12 category at the Tokyo Paralympics. She is the fastest ever female para athlete over 100 m, having recorded a time of 11.40 seconds at the Rio Paralympics in 2016. The T12 class features athletes with a visual impairment.
