The fastest run 100 m by a male para-athlete in the T12 category is 10.43 seconds, achieved by Salum Ageze Kashafali (Norway, b. DR Congo) at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, on 29 August 2021.
Kashafali came to Norway as a refugee from DR Congo aged 11. He was classed as a para-athlete in 2019 following the diagnosis of a degenerative eye disease and broke the T12 100 m record in his first para race.
