Veteran 400 m hurdler Félix Sánchez (Dominican Republic, b. USA, 30 August 1977) was 34 years 342 days old when he clocked 47.63 seconds to claim Olympic gold in London, UK, on 6 August 2012 - eight years after winning the 400 m hurdles in Athens, Greece, in exactly the same time. Sánchez was the second successive 400 m hurdler to win their second Olympic title eight years after their first. Angelo Taylor (USA) won the event at Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008.
