Carmelo Anthony, who plays for the New York Knicks (both USA) in the National Basketball Association (NBA), scored a record 10 three-point field goals as the USA beat Nigeria 156-73 at the Basketball Arena, London, UK, on 2 August 2012. In the same match, Anthony scored 37 points - the most points scored by an individual in an Olympic basketball match. Additionally, a host of Olympic and US records were set in this match.
