Youngest Olympic weightlifting gold medallist (female)

Zulfiya Chinshanlo (Kazakhstan, b. 25 July 1993) was 19 years 4 days old when she won gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games with a record lift of 131 kg in the women's 53 kg clean and jerk category on 29 July. The 117-lb Chinshanlo, Kazakhstan's first gold medallist in weightlifting, lifted 2.5 times her own bodyweight (288 lb) to win the gold medal. She broke her own record of 130 kg, set at the World Championships in Paris, France, on 6 November 2011.
