The largest gathering of people dressed as Marilyn Monroe is 254 and was achieved by The Marilyn Jetty Swim Team (Australia), in Brighton, Australia, on 2 February 2020.


This was the second attempt at this record by the organsiers. Their attempt in 2019 failed due to a counting technicality so extra care was taken this time around. Each of the participants recreated one of five Marilyn Monroe looks. These included the iconic white dress she wore in Billy Wilder's "The Seven Year Itch" (1955).
