Longest continuous publication of a model railway/railroad magazine

Model Railroader has produced an issue every month since January 1934. Issue #1 was produced in January 1934 and as of April 2012 Model Railroader had produced 940 monthly issues specifically related to model railroading in a variety of scales and gauges. Publication was continuous throughout World War II, when paper restrictions affected other hobby periodicals. Model Railroader is published by Kalmbach Publishing Co, 21027 Crossroads Circle, Waukesha WI, 53187-1617 USA. It is noted that a model-making publication, Model Craftsman began publication in 1933; however, in its early years it was not exclusive to model railroading, it was about model-making in general. Today, it exists as Railroad Model Craftsman with model railroads as its primary topic and is produced by Carstens Publishing in New Jersey.
