The longest 2-ft (610-cm) gauge passenger railway line runs for 199.8 km (124.14 miles) between Gwalior and Sheopur Kalan in India.
Any railway with a gauge width less the 'standard gauge' of 4 ft 8.5 in (1,435 mm) is known as 'narrow gauge'. These railways are built to a variety of widths, the most generally recognised as the smallest commercially viable of these is 2 ft (610 cm).
The railway from Gwalior to Sheopur Kalan is 199.8 km and has only one through train in each direction, each day with a journey time of 10.5 hours. Two other departures operate to a mid-way point.
This line is under the control of the North Central Railway of India.
