The streak started on 15 September 2018 and ended with a single against the Boston Red Sox on 13 April 2019. Davis broke the record of 46 straight at-bats that belonged to Eugenio Velez (Dominican Republic) of the Los Angeles Dodgers over the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
