Fastest $150 million box office film gross

Five films have surpassed the $150-million mark at the box office within 48 hours of their cinema release, according to The Numbers. These are: Avengers: Infinity War (USA, 2018) on 27–28 April 2018; Star Wars Ep VIII: The Last Jedi (USA, 2017) on 15–16 December 2017; Star Wars Ep VII: The Force Awakens (USA, 2015) on 18–19 December 2015; Jurassic World (USA, 2015) on 12–13 June 2015; and The Avengers (USA, 2012) on 4–5 May 2012.

In order of gross achieved in two days, the five movies stand as follows:

Avengers: Infinity War: $188,466,551 (£136.2 million; €155.7 million)

Star Wars Ep VII: The Force Awakens: $187,413,486 (£125.6 million; €172.9 million)

Star Wars Ep VIII: The Last Jedi: $168,677,696 (£126 million; €143.1 million)
