The oldest newspaper delivery person is Ted Ingram (UK, b. 14 February 1920), who was 93 years 268 days old when he retired on 9 November 2013. Ted delivered the Dorset Echo newspaper in Weymouth, Dorset, UK, and had done so for more than 70 years. Ted said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time as a paperboy and have had so much fun. I’m so proud of my paper round and would still carry on if I could but I have bad knees and struggle now . . . I would say to anyone thinking of taking up a paper round that it’s a great way to get outside and see your neighbourhood, and to give it a go."
