The most wins of the European Rugby Challenge Cup is three, achieved by Harlequins (UK) in 2000/01, 2003/04 and 2010/11; and ASM Clermont Auvergne (France) in 1998/99, 2006/07 and 2018/19.
Inaugurated in 1996 as the European Challenge Cup, the European Rugby Challenge Cup is the second-tier European club competition. Clermont equalled Harlequins’ three wins on 10 May 2019 with a 36-16 defeat of La Rochelle at St James’s Park in Newcastle, UK.
