The most combined goals in an Olympic women's football tournament is 101, achieved by the 12 teams at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan, held on 21 July–6 August 2021.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were held behind closed doors in 2021 on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 101 goals were scored by the 12 teams in the women’s football tournament, averaging 3.88 per match and smashing the previous record of 71 from London 2012. The highest-scoring game was the Netherlands’ 10–3 demolition of Zambia. Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema finished as the competition’s top-scorer with 10 goals in just four games.
