Queen’s (UK) “Bohemian Rhapsody”, which has sold more than two million copies in the UK, topped the chart for nine consecutive weeks, starting on 29 November 1975. Following the death of frontman Freddie Mercury (b. Farrokh Bulsara, 1946-91), the single was re-issued as a double A-side with “These Are the Days of Our Lives” and returned to No.1, where it remained for five consecutive weeks. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is also the only single to top the UK chart in four calendar years: 1975-76 and 1991-92.
