The smallest commercially produced working model railway system is 'T' Gauge, developed by K. K. Eishindo of Japan and unveiled at the Tokyo Toy Fair in 2006. The track gauge measures only 3 mm and the models are made to a scale of 1:450 or 450 times smaller than the real thing
Powered from the rails by 4.5 volt motors, this tiny system includes, track, turnouts (switches), rolling stock, accessories, buildings and scenic items. An entire working system can easily be fitted in an attache case.
