The world's longest-lived species of carnivorous marsupial is the Tasmanian devil Sarcophilus harrisii, which is also the world's largest species of living carnivorous marsupial. As documented in 2005, one captive specimen was at least 13 years old when it died at Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands.
