The Boeing Everett factory in Washington, USA is the largest production factory in the world. With a total volume of 13,385,378 cubic metres (472,370,319 cubic feet), covering a floor area of 399,480 square metres (98.3 acres), the facility is used to build the Boeing 747, 767, 777 and the new 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Opened in 1967, the factory has expanded twice in its history to accommodate production of the latest line of planes, to achieve the tremendous size we see today.
