The world's hairiest form of domestic pig Sus scrofa is the Mangalitza. Unlike all other domestic pigs (except for the now-extinct Lincolnshire Curly Coat), the Mangalitza grows a remarkably long, hairy coat that resembles the fleece of sheep. The Mangalitza is divided into three breeds – the Blonde Mangalitza (which is white), the Swallow-bellied Mangalitza (black body with white feet and belly), and the Red Mangalitza (ginger). Three additional breeds – the Black, Baris, and Wolf Mangalitzas – are now extinct in pure-bred form. Mangalitzas originated in Hungary.
