Largest prize pool for an esports tournament (team game)

The largest payout for a team in a videogaming tournament is $6,634,661 (£4,253,042). This was won by the American team Evil Geniuses at the fifth annual international DotA 2 championships, The International 2015, held at KeyArena, at the Seattle Center, in Seattle, Washington, USA, on 3–8 August 2015. The five-man team, which also included members from Pakistan and Canada, defeated surprise package CDEC (China) in the final, winning three matches to one.

The International 2015 Dota 2 Championships also holds the record for largest eSports prize pool with $18,429,613 (£11,836,998).
