Terms and Conditions 

  1. The Promoter is Guinness World Records Limited, incorporated in England and Wales with company number 00541295 whose registered office is at Ground Floor, The Rookery, 2 Dyott Street, London, England, WC1A 1DE.
  2. These terms and conditions apply to the “UK’s Most Competitive Family” competition (the “Competition”) running on the Promoter’s website from 00:01 BST on Friday 11 September 2026 until 23:59 BST on Friday 2 October 2026 (the “Application Deadline”).
  3. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.
  4. This Competition is only open to UK residents. If entrants are under the age of 18 years, entries must be accompanied by evidence of permission from a parent/guardian or with their written consent.  The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries from entrants under the age of 18 years that are not accompanied by their parent/guardian’s permission, or where Promoter becomes aware that the entrant’s parent/guardian does not consent to the entry.
  5. Employees or contractors of the Promoter, any person directly or indirectly involved in the Promoter or the running of the Competition, or their direct family members are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the  Application Deadline for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Automatically generated entries or entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be considered. Upon receipt, entries become the property of the Promoter and are not returned.
  7. Only one entry is permitted per person.
  8. To enter, complete the online form which is available on  the Promoter’s website (www.guinnessworldrecords.com/venues/uk-most-competitive-family). The online form will request your name, surname, country/region of residence, email address, names and ages of your family members and a description of your most competitive family moment in 100 words or less. For entry into the Competition, a ‘family’ needs to consist of at least 1 adult and 1 child.
  9. The Promoter will create a shortlist from all valid and correctly completed entries received by the Application Deadline. The shortlisted entrants will be invited to an online panel interview between Monday 12 October 2026 and Friday 23 October 2026, after which a winning family will be chosen. The Promoter will send the full names of the judging panel to anyone who writes to the address stated above or emails Marketing@guinnessworldrecords.com.
  10. The prize for the winning family is: (1) the chance to try 4 brand new Guinness World Records London Challenge Stations; (2) behind the scenes visits to Guinness World Records London at The O2, Greenspan factory (the company building the Challenge Stations) and the Guinness World Records head office in London; and (3) attendance at the Guinness World Records London launch event at The O2 in December. Prize redemption will take place in November and December 2026. Travel will be provided (all members of the winning family shall be picked up from a single location).  
  11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative rewards of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The winning family will be contacted by email by 30 October 2026. If the winning family cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 7 days of the Promoter sending notification, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another entrant selected from the shortlisted entrants who attended an online panel interview.   13. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of residence of the winner to anyone who writes to the address stated above or emails Marketing@guinnessworldrecords.com by 30 November 2026. If the winning entrant objects to any or all of their surname and county of residence being published or made available, they must contact Marketing@guinnessworldrecords.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  14. The Promoter will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the Competition, unless otherwise stated in the entry details. By entering this Competition, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by the Promoter for the purposes of the administration of this Competition and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. The Promoter is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information.   15. The winning family agrees to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity (and the parent/guardian agrees on the behalf of any family members under the age of 18 years). Such publicity may include promotion on the Promoter’s official website and social media channels.
  16. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions (in Promoter’s sole opinion) or who, in Promoter’s sole determination, has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, hacking, deceiving, cheating or by harassing or threatening other entrants or a representative of Promoter. 
  17. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
